Power of Attorney is a formal written authority given by an individual to another individual to manage his personal affairs.

PROCESSING TIME

The processing time for all consular services requests take up between 5-7 business days. The Consulate of the Republic of Congo in Washington, D.C does not offer any rush or expedited services.

Requirements :

-  Valid Identification Card or Valid Passport ;

- The Power of Attorney form filled out by the applicant with all the necessary information included in it ;

- A money order of 20.00 U.S Dollars or 20.00 U.S. Dollars in cash (only if physically present). Due to some undisclosed reasons, the Embassy of the Republic of Congo to the United States of America is no longer accepting Business checks. Procuration fees will still remain at 20.00 U.S Dollars. Furthermore, the money order should be paid to the order of , " Embassy of the Republic of Congo ." 

- A prepaid envelope ( DHL, Fedex, UPS, USPS) with a TRACKING NUMBER so that the notarized Power of Attorney form can be mailed back to the sender. Please be aware that Canadian or Mexican prepaid envelopes are not accepted under any circumstances.
